Baseball Bath #1
So now that we live in Omaha and close to the baseball stadium we had to go to a College World Series game. We gathered a troop of friends (Frank, Cammie their baby Maily, Morgan, Roby, Katy, Chris, and Ryan) met at our house and walked to the stadium on a beautiful sunny afternoon. After a sweaty walk in the humid heat we arrived in our seats listened to the ever patriotic national anthem and waited for the game. The smell of hot dogs and funnel cake snuck up our nostrils just enough to tempt us. Seven minutes into the game KA- BOOM the storm. I’m talking rain that doesn’t even give you time to think before you are completely soaked. In fact one couple, out of the whole stadium, sat in their seats through the whole three hour storm- maybe their weekly bath? That was the end of the first game. Come back tomorrow.
Baseball Bath #2
Next day: same group minus a few set out again. Mislead by the blistering heat we thought there was no way it would rain. Wrong! We are in Nebraska and storms give no warning. Yep, it rained again this time only for an hour and the game went on despite the set back. We even got to see a streaker run across the field. What an experience just to see a baseball game.

I tried to go to your blog and apologize, but it for private guests only and I'm not invited?:)
Oh Elena, I am so sorry about your basil and tomatoes :( Very sad, we will have to go back to the farmers market when you and Jordan get back and get some more. Happy Trip!
I'm so glad to see that you two are doing so well and loving Omaha! (Despite the storms, of course) Let us know if/when you guys come to town! We'd love to see you.
